Cooking Lessons
I offer cooking classes & parties from ages 3-99. Hosted in my home or yours, I offer a variety of classes to hopefully make your cooking life a bit easier in the future. Learning how to cook properly makes cooking so much more efficient, quick and enjoyable. Please inquire here about classes! Always happy to accommodate custom class requests!
-Example Classes-
Knife Skills & Sharpening- dicing, julienne, mincing, building a crudite platter, fruit salad, etc.
Butchery Basics- break down whole chicken, trussing, spatchcock, removing silver skin from a tenderloin, skinning salmon, etc.
Stocks & Sauces- understanding vegetable/chicken/beef stock & mother sauces: bechamel, hollandaise, espagnole, tomato, veloute along with some derivatives.
Principles of Soups- The 5 basic soups: bisque, cream, chowder, puree & broth.
Breading- beer batter fish, fried chicken, chicken parm, schnitzel, tonkatsu, etc.
-Example Parties-
Pasta- fettuccine, ravioli, farfelle, agnolotti
Pierogi- multiple fillings: potato & cheese, kraut, mushroom
